Hello! I’m Mrs Cox. I love teaching at our school; the children and staff are supportive and enthusiastic and it’s a positive place to be. As well as teaching my class of delightful children, I am the school’s arts subject leader which means I make sure everyone is able to enjoy a range of experiences in their art lessons and have opportunities to work with people in all the different arts. Each year, with the help of the rest of the staff, I organise an Arts Week. My other roles include sorting the assembly rota and linking with our brilliant HSA, who do so much to support our school! I also love flamingos. Nothing to do with school but I thought it was important to share!
Ooh! I have quite a few. I loved Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll; it was a definite favourite as a child. I read my mum’s copy of both stories in two weeks when I was seven – I couldn’t put it down! I also loved The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis. We went to see an adaptation at the theatre when I was still at school and I thought it was brilliant. Now I’m a bit (!) older, I like reading second hand Agatha Christie murder-mystery books and trying to work out who ‘did it’! I never seem to guess correctly but love them just the same.
