I’ve been teaching since 2010 and spent the first six years teaching not far from where I was born in South London. My family and I relocated to Nottingham in 2016 and everyone at WBJS made me feel welcome from the very start. Over the course of my career, I’ve taught in every year group at some point or other, from Year 6 all the way down to nursery. I’m currently literacy lead alongside Mrs. Minta and am on a mission to share as many books with as many children as possible!
Favourite Book: I read A LOT so I always find it hard to pin down a favourite book, although I am partial to a good graphic novel or picture book. At the moment, our favourite book to read at home is The Legend of Rock, Paper Scissors by Drew Daywalt, writer of The Day The Crayons Quit. It’s my son’s all-time favourite book and we read it constantly at home.
Hobbies: I love pretty much any sport with football and rugby taking the top spots. I’m an avid supporter of my hometown club, Fulham. I have an eclectic taste in music as any of my colleagues who have had the pleasure of being next door to me will tell you – I’ll give anything a try once! Getting out and about in nature is also something I’m keen to do as often as I can.
Favourite number: 15. It was the first squad number I got as a child and it stuck.
