I first started at West Bridgford Junior School in June 1986 at a time when my own three children were attending this school, the Infants and then on to West Bridgford School. My role in school has grown over the years and it has given me great pleasure to support our community of parents and children. I have got to know so many families really well over the years and, in some cases, three generations! I am also a governor at the school and enjoy that role as well.
I find this incredibly hard because I just love reading all sorts of books and I'm pleased that my children have inherited this trait. As other members of staff have said, this is a challenging choice, but if I had to choose just one book it would have to be one of the old classics read to me by my mother when I was a child, such as Lorna Doon or Jane Eyre. They bring back such lovely memories.
My favourite number is 7, just like Mr Arnold. I have no idea why but it's the first number I would think of.
