Mrs. Owen-Jones - Year 3 Teacher / History Coordinator

Hello, I’m Mrs Owen-Jones and I’m a class teacher in Year 3. I joined WBJS in January 2015 and feel really lucky to work with such lovely children and colleagues.

My favourite subject to teach would have to be English as I’ve always loved writing stories.

When I was a child, my mum was a librarian in a local school and would bring home hundreds of books for me to read. If I had to choose my all-time favourite book, I’d have to say the Harry Potter series. Every time I read them, I’m taken back to reading them as a child: fighting with my brother over who got to read the latest book first and re-discovering my love for reading.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy relaxing at home. I love cooking and baking and I’m often guilty of baking cookies just so that I can eat the cookie dough. I also like to take my dog, Milo, for long walks. Milo has quickly become a talking point with my classes and the children love hearing ‘Milo Moments’ of strange and naughty things that he has done. Unfortunately for me, I have a lot of Milo Moments to tell...
